Greetings! Can you believe it's almost December? As we look back over this past year, we'd like to thank you for all your support of GLSEN Phoenix. Whether it's volunteering, donating, taking a class, or simply liking something on our social media, your support is what makes us able to work for safer schools here in Phoenix. 12/5 & 12/12: Shine Student Presentations Free on Zoom!

We hope you've been enjoying our ongoing Shine Student Series! We have two more amazing presentations coming up in the next few weeks.


Queer and Criminalized: How the Carceral System Harms LGBTQ+ Students This presentation serves as an analysis of what is the carceral system, how it affects LGBTQ+, and disproportionately BIPOC, students, and how it can be eradicated. A facilitated discussion will act as an engagement activity to further examine this topic. Dec. 5 at 3 p.m. on Zoom

Winter Break from school can be tough sometimes but the SHINE Team is here to make it a little easier! Find connection and support as you join your fellow LGBTQ+ and allied teens to gear up for the Winter Break at the SHINE Team's Winter Wellness Check-in! Sunday, December 19th from 1-2:30 p.m.
